Calorie / TDEE calculator

Estimates only. Not medical, legal, or financial advice.

Estimate basal metabolic rate and a TDEE-like total from age, size, sex, and an activity factor. It is a formula, not a metabolism test, and not advice to eat a specific deficit.

You want a maintenance calorie guess. Every TDEE site uses a BMR equation plus a multiplier. Ours is the same class of math, in this tab, without a meal plan.

Not BMI. Not body fat. Not advice.

How to read the number

Activity dropdowns are crude. “Lightly active” is where people lie to the form. Treat the output as a starting range, then adjust with a professional if it matters.

CDC and dietary guidelines talk about patterns, not a ToolAtlas target.

Honest limits

  • Not indirect calorimetry.
  • Not a 4-week shred.
  • Illness, pregnancy, and eating-disorder history need a clinician, not a widget.

This is arithmetic, not care.

FAQ

Which equation do you use?

A standard BMR equation from the fields you enter, then an activity multiplier. Different sites pick Harris-Benedict vs Mifflin; results will not match to the calorie.

Can I trust this to lose weight?

No page should prescribe a deficit. Energy needs change with illness, medication, and body composition. This is not medical advice.

Is this the same as BMI?

BMI is kg/m². TDEE estimates energy. Different jobs.

Do you log food?

No. We do not store meals or sync a watch.

Is this for children?

No. Pediatric energy needs are a clinical question.
