Sample workflow: choose a PDF on this device, then Process. The file stays in this tab.

This step may download a library in this browser the first time you use it.

Draw a diagonal text watermark — Draft, Confidential, sample — across every page in this tab. It is a visible stamp, not an invisible forensic mark, and it does not lock the file the way a password does.

You are sending a preview and you want DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL on every page so it is harder to pass off as final. That is this page: a diagonal text overlay in the current tab.

It is not protect PDF. It is not sign PDF. It is not PDF page numbers. It is not image watermark.

When a stamp is enough

  • Client proofs and internal reviews.
  • Sample chapters.
  • A visual reminder, not a legal control.

Opacity and a large diagonal read better on screen than a tiny footer nobody notices. Print shops may still crop; we do not promise bleeds.

How to use it

  1. Drop the PDF. Type the label.
  2. Process in this tab and download.
  3. If the packet should also be locked, password-protect the watermarked file.

Typical ceiling is about 32 MB.

Honest limits

  • Not Bates numbering or Adobe DRM.
  • Recipients can screenshot or crop.
  • Passworded inputs may fail.

This is a local utility, not a records-management system.

FAQ

Is this an invisible forensic watermark?

No. Anyone who can see the page can see the words. We do not embed steganography or printer tracking dots.

Does a watermark protect the file?

It labels a preview. It does not encrypt. Use protect PDF if you need an open password.

Is this the same as signing?

No. A signature stamp is a name in a box. A watermark is usually a large diagonal label. Sign PDF is the other tool.

Can I use an image logo instead of text?

This page stamps text. For a logo on a photo, use image watermark. A PDF logo stamp is not guaranteed here.

Will the watermark flatten selectable text?

Treat the result as a new PDF with an overlay. Some workflows rasterize; keep the original if you still need a clean text layer.

Is the PDF uploaded?

No. Typical ceiling is about 32 MB.
