FAQ

Why is the file WebM instead of M4A?

MediaRecorder’s usual container on desktop Chromium is WebM. We do not transcode to M4A/MP3 in this tab.

Will you transcribe it?

No. OCR on this site is for images and is English-first. There is no speech-to-text product here.

Can I trim the take?

Use the audio cutter (WAV) after you extract or convert, or re-record. This page only captures.

HTTPS / permission?

Browsers require a secure context and an explicit mic grant. Denied permission looks like a broken tool; it is the OS prompt.

Is the recording uploaded?

No. Long takes hit memory or ~32 MB.
