EXIF orientation lies

Some mail clients ignore Orientation and still show a sideways scan. Rotating pixels is more honest than flipping a tag. HEIC that will not open on Windows should become JPG first — renaming the extension is not a conversion.

  3. If another app still shows it sideways, strip EXIF and keep this copy.

Not lossless JPEG transpose. Not a burst/Live Photo tool. About 32 MB.

Is this the crop tool?

Crop changes the rectangle. Rotate keeps the whole picture, turned.

HEIC?

Convert to JPG first if decode fails.

Lossless rotate of JPEG?

Not promised. We draw to a canvas and encode again.

Is the photo uploaded?

No. About 32 MB typical.
