Five swatches to unblock a mock. Accessibility is a ratio on real type sizes, not a pretty ramp.

A landing mock that still has #000 on #111. This page gives a starting ramp. It is not a brand system and not Stark.

Verify pairs on contrast checker. Pull a hex off a screenshot with image color picker. Shadows and gradients have their own generators.

Mock color, then measure contrast

Landing-page accents and slide decks need a few HEX candidates. That is not a brand book and not print CMYK. Pair the colors you actually put on body text with the contrast checker — WCAG-style 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large/UI is a common rule of thumb, not a certificate.

How to use it

  1. Pick a seed or accept a generated set.
  2. Copy hex values into CSS variables.
  3. Run the primary text pair through contrast before review.

Honest limits

Not a license to ship. Not print-accurate. Not a full theme (hover, disabled, dark mode).

FAQ

Is this color-blind safe?

Not automatically. Simulate in your design tool and keep a non-color cue.

Can I extract a palette from a photo?

Use the image color picker for individual pixels, then come back if you want a ramp.

Pantone / print?

These are screen hex/RGB. Print shops want their own profile.

Does a pretty palette pass WCAG?

Check each text/background pair. AA for normal text is commonly 4.5:1.

Are colors uploaded?

No.
