Refund Policy

1. Purchase Refunds
We want you to be satisfied with Socratic Heuristic. If you are not happy with the Service, the following refund terms apply:
- Within 7 days of purchase: You may request a full refund if you have not extensively used the Service. We define extensive use as more than 50 AI conversations.
- After 7 days: Refunds are generally not available for the current 30-day access period.
2. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please:
- Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your account email address and the reason for the refund
- We will review your request and respond within 3 business days
3. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. The exact timing depends on your payment provider. You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated.
4. Access Expiry
Since the Service uses a pay-per-period model with no automatic renewal:
- Each purchase grants 30 days of access from the date of purchase (or stacked onto your existing expiry)
- No automatic charges will ever be made — you only pay when you choose to purchase
- After your access expires, your account and conversation history remain accessible, but AI features will be limited until you purchase again
5. Exceptions
Refunds may be granted outside the standard policy in cases of:
- Extended service outages or technical issues that prevented use
- Duplicate or erroneous charges
- Unauthorized transactions (subject to verification)
6. Team Plan Refunds
For Team plan purchases, refund eligibility applies to the entire plan. Partial refunds for individual seats within a Team plan are not available. The 7-day refund window applies from the date of the Team plan purchase.
