Date difference calculator

Estimates only. Not medical, legal, or financial advice.

Any two calendar dates. Age wraps the same math as ‘from birthday to today.’ Hours calculator is punch-clock time.

“How many days until the lease ends” and “how many weekdays in this sprint” are this page. Project managers and landlords search it constantly. Holiday-aware payroll is a different product — we will not fake a federal calendar.

If the question is how old, use age. If the question is a shift, use hours. Unix instants belong on timestamp.

Weekdays without a holiday calendar

Contract “30 days after delivery” and homework due dates are calendar subtraction. A weekday count skips Saturday and Sunday only — US federal holidays and company shutdowns are not loaded. Inclusive vs exclusive start dates belong in the contract, not in our default.

How to use it

  1. Pick start and end dates.
  2. Read total days and, if you need them, weekdays.
  3. Apply your own holiday list before you bill a client.

Honest limits

Not SLA software. Not “business days in New York with Good Friday.” Inclusive/exclusive conventions differ; glance at the number before you send an invoice.

FAQ

Do you skip US federal holidays?

Weekday mode skips Saturday and Sunday only. It does not load a holiday calendar for the US, UK, or anywhere else.

Inclusive or exclusive?

Check the result against your rule. Some contracts count both end dates; some count nights. We show a straightforward subtraction.

Is this an age calculator?

Age adds years/months and a next birthday. Use that page when the question is ‘how old.’

Can I do hours and overtime?

Use the hours calculator. This page is dates, not 9:06 to 17:42.

Time zones?

We use calendar dates, not instants. A meeting that starts Tuesday in Tokyo and Monday in New York is two dates you must pick yourself.
