Needed on remaining:

One course. You type the weights from the syllabus. The GPA page is many courses times credits.

The syllabus says homework 20%, midterm 30%, final 50%, and you want the minimum final that still yields a B. That search is this page. It is not your school’s official GPA and not Canvas.

Weights must sum in a way that matches the syllabus (often 100%). If they do not, the “need on the final” number is fiction.

Running GPA across a semester of courses is GPA. Raw “15% of 80” is percentage.

One syllabus, not a transcript GPA

“Final is 40%” is weighted categories inside one class. Semester GPA across courses is the GPA page. We do not apply a school’s letter-grade cutoffs or extra-credit folklore. If weights do not add to 100%, the number will not match the syllabus.

How to use it

  1. Enter each category, its weight, and the score you already have.
  2. Leave the unknown exam blank or mark it as the goal, depending on the form.
  3. Read the result as homework, then confirm against the LMS once grades post.

Honest limits

Not a registrar. Not a curve. Rounding rules (0.5%) differ by instructor.

FAQ

Can you apply a class curve?

Only if you already know the curved scores. We do not invent a bell curve.

Dropped lowest quiz?

Remove that quiz from the list yourself. The engine does not know your drop policy.

Is this GPA?

No. GPA averages courses. This page answers ‘what do I need on the final’ for one syllabus.

Extra credit?

Add it as another category or fold it into a score. There is no hidden extra-credit toggle that matches every LMS.

Canvas / Google Classroom sync?

No. Copy the weights from the syllabus. LMS live grades stay in the LMS.
