One course. You type the weights from the syllabus. The GPA page is many courses times credits.
The syllabus says homework 20%, midterm 30%, final 50%, and you want the minimum final that still yields a B. That search is this page. It is not your school’s official GPA and not Canvas.
Weights must sum in a way that matches the syllabus (often 100%). If they do not, the “need on the final” number is fiction.
Running GPA across a semester of courses is GPA. Raw “15% of 80” is percentage.
One syllabus, not a transcript GPA
“Final is 40%” is weighted categories inside one class. Semester GPA across courses is the GPA page. We do not apply a school’s letter-grade cutoffs or extra-credit folklore. If weights do not add to 100%, the number will not match the syllabus.
How to use it
- Enter each category, its weight, and the score you already have.
- Leave the unknown exam blank or mark it as the goal, depending on the form.
- Read the result as homework, then confirm against the LMS once grades post.
Honest limits
Not a registrar. Not a curve. Rounding rules (0.5%) differ by instructor.
